First sickboy I am going to write the answer in my mother- tongue as this surely helps me to word things exactly how I indent them to sound.
By all accounts this subject isn?t really easy for me to understand or comprehend.
Looking more and more into the matter I found there to be different kinds of amputating, from the desire to loose a limp to the fashion trend of extreme body modification, apotemnophilia, paraphilia the last two being a sexual disorder (and not a harmless one at that).
This is where I think our believes run in different ways. You consider a voluntary amputation as a wish to find true identity and I see it as a medical/mental condition.
There has been much publicity for this new disorder in recent years and the studies show that thru this publicity the number of people desiring such a step have gone up dramatically .now does that make the phenomenon somewhat trend oriented? I don?t know!
Lets just talk about the ?trendy? body modification for now. Why does it give me the creeps to look at someone one with his toes cut, his forehead split, and his tongue split? Not because I grew up on a like u call it ?kuhkaff? and that I have a limited horizon for tolerance. I think it?s my personal ideas of esthetic. Aren?t we all supposed to have our own ideals in beauty, moral concepts and identity?
I don?t want any of this creepy stuff and I wont do it. So easy.
The problem is thou in my eyes that this trendy version sure lies indeed very close to the medical condition because after all both are seeking their ?true identity.
With that said and I hope u see that I do not just try to judge and degrade other peoples ideas, I wouldn?t even have bothered understanding you if I did. Its not ?verstossen? it?s a honest concern for the tendencies in our society the home and future of my childrenJI am sorry if I considered you a creep, its always easier to call someone a name rather then trying to understand.
