Es hat tatsächlich bei Charles Darwin, Sigmund Freud, Garfield, Jack Bauer und Gina Wild geklappt, was eine Auswahl .

Bart Simpson habe ich ihm ja noch zugetraut... Einstein, Westerwelle und Thomas Schaaf hat es auch erraten... mich selbst im Übrigen auch.

Nur im Bereich Musik hat es offenbar gewisse Schwächen... mit Dio und Turunen konnte er nichts anfangen.

"It's possible to produce energy by simply mixing fresh and
salty water. Although chemists and physicists have long known about the untapped
energy available where fresh water rivers pour into salty oceans — it's
equivalent to 'each river in the world ending at its mouth in a waterfall 225
meters [739 feet] high' — the technology for exploiting the effect has been
lacking. An Italian physicist seems to have solved the problem with the
experimental demonstration of a 'salination cell' that creates power given
nothing more than input sources of salty and fresh water. The reearcher believes
that this renewable, environmentally friendly energy source could be deployed in
coastal areas and could provide another addition to the green-tech roster. A
paper describing the technology is due to be published in an upcoming issue of
the journal Physical Review Letters."

"The BBC is reporting [1] that so-called augmented reality has arrived — in the UK at least. From the article: 'Via the video function of a mobile phone's camera it is now possible to combine a regular pictorial view with added data from the internet just as the fictional Terminator was able to overlay its view of the world with vital information about its surroundings. For example, UK-firm Acrossair has launched an application for the iPhone which allows Londoners to find their nearest tube station using their iPhone.' The video will be displayed on slim-line screens around the size of a mobile phone display and will have rechargeable batteries. The associated chip can hold up to 40 minutes of video, and uses technology similar to that used in singing greeting cards, playing the movie when the page is turned. The first clips will preview CBS shows and advertise Pepsi, but they will only be distributed in Los Angeles and New York. Imagine the fun hacking possibilities."

cloak that hides objects from view. Now Igor Smolyaninov, a physicist in the US,
has calculated how metamaterials could be used for a much more profound
demonstration: to reproduce the behavior of light in various kinds of
spacetimes, in particular a (2+2) spacetime (one having two dimensions of space
and two of time). His method is to show that there is formal mathematical
analogy between the way metamaterials and spacetimes affect light. He goes on to
show how a phase transition in a (2+2) spacetime leads to the creation of a
(2+1) spacetime filled with photons, an event analogous to the Big Bang."

"In medicine, plasma, the fourth state of matter, is already used for sterilizing surgical instruments; plasma works at the atomic level and is able to reach all surfaces, even the interior of hollow needle ends. Now the BBC reports that researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics have demonstrated a plasma device that can rid hands, feet, or even underarms of bacteria, including the hospital superbug MRSA, by creating cold atmospheric plasma that produces a cocktail of chemicals that kills bacteria but is harmless to skin. 'The plasma produces a series of over 200 chemical reactions that involve the oxygen and nitrogen in air plus water vapor — there is a whole concoction of chemical species that can be lethal to bacteria,' says Gregor Morfill. 'It's actually similar to what our own immune system does.' The team says that an exposure to the plasma of only about 12 seconds reduces the incidence of bacteria, viruses, and fungi on hands by a factor of a million — a number that stands in sharp contrast to the several minutes hospital staff can take to wash using traditional soap and water. Morfill says that the approach can be used to kill the bacteria that lead to everything from gum disease to body odor and that the prototype is scalable to any size and can be produced in any shape."
