kanadische seite illegal in den usa?

war heute ziemlich überascht, als ich die eh-schon-wissen-kanadische-seite angesurft habe, und dort unter neuigkeiten folgende meldung sah:

Sorry for the long delay in updating! You can thank the Bush Administration for making BME illegal and forcing us to do an emergency move out of California back to Canada for the downtime."

und in shannon larrats blog war folgendes zu lesen:

Wow. Sorry I was gone so long in terms of BME updates. If you want to blame anyone, you can blame George Bush and the rest of his cabal for chasing BME (and others) out of America. I'll try and get an article published soon explaining to piercers how it affects them as well (many piercers with websites are now facing life in prison thanks to the new 2257 laws).

weiß jemand genaueres, bzw. um welche neuen gesetze es da geht?
ich hätt schon google bemüht, aber nicht wirklich informationen gefunden - vielleicht bin ich auch nur zu blöd zum suchen...

was mich auch interessieren würde ist, was "illegal" an sich bedeutet. sowas wie "indiziert" in deutschland, oder wollen die im "land of the free" überhaupt eine netzzensur à la china durchsetzen?

und mal generell, was haltet ihr davon?

Gesetz 2257 besagt, dass man das Alter von jeder Person, die von sich Nacktbilder veröffentlicht mit einer Kopie des Ausweises belegen können muss, und diese Daten müssen mindestens für 20 Stunden die Woche dm US Department of Justice frei zugänglich machen. Ansonsten drohen dir bis zu 5 Jahre Gefägnis.

The specific laws in question are the ?18 USC 2257? regulations, a set of record-keeping rules which the US government claims have been put in place to combat child porn. They stipulate that for all photos published, copies of ID and other information must be kept and that these must be made available to the US Department of Justice for at least twenty hours a week, without warning or warrant required for inspection of the records or our place of business (ie. our home).

This doesn?t affect only photos or video directly produced by BME; this would also affect content produced by BME members ? so every photo on BME and every photo on IAM could have these requirements applied to it. Any photo that is ?sexual? in nature or of a ?sadistic? or ?masochistic? subject matter (even if the photo is blurred or behind a password wall) is affected ? this would certainly include suspension, play piercing, nipple piercing, genital piercing, and of course everything in BME/HARD and BME/extreme.
